The upcoming 12th Annual Seguimos Creando Enlaces Binational Conference will offer 2 days of in-person programming and be held in both San Diego, CA and Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. Registration is free!

2025’s conference theme is Unidos en la Diversidad: Embracing all Voices.
The Planning Committee seeks presentations from colleagues on both sides of the U.S.-México border on how their work in public, academic & special libraries and/or literacy initiatives is creating meaningful connections through inclusion, play and community support, while also highlighting the importance of bilingual services and diversity. We are also interested in featuring interactive, hands-on activities designed for communities of color, immigrants, refugees, LGBTQIA+, Spanish speakers, ELL/ESL learners, digital equity initiatives or binational collaborations.

The 2025 Call for Proposals will be accepting submissions from Monday, November 4 to Monday, December 16, 2024!

FORMAT OPTIONS:
– Regular Session: 30 mins + 15 mins Q&A (ENG or ESP)

• Individual Presentation
• Panel Presentation:

Group of 2-3 library or community leaders answer questions from a moderator and share best practices related to the conference theme. Panelists will identify a moderator for their presentation.

• Library/Literacy & Community Partner Presentation:

Group of 2-3 presenters share examples of projects co-created with library/literacy partners.

– Interactive Drop-In Activity Spaces: 45 mins (ENG/ESP/BIL)

• 1-2 presenters host casual, small capacity sessions of 15 or less leading a well-received interactive activity and how attendees can replicate it at their own sites.
